The Ring of Kerry is a 111-mile or 179-kilometer circular route around the Iveragh Peninsula and will show you some of Ireland's most beautiful sights. It's a great place to visit if you're short on time and want to venture out of Dublin to see some of the verdant Irish countryside. These are just a handful of the many points of interest along this route and you can obviously see more than these or cut some out, depending on your time and interest but these are the most popular and the ones that Erin and I saw on our road trip.
Last year, Erin and I went on a road trip through Ireland and Northern Ireland and had a spectacular time. Ireland is a gorgeous country and its residents are some of the friendliest people I have ever met in my life. We were a bit nervous renting a car for our road trip, especially since they drive on the left side of the road. While we can't drive the car for you on your own Irish adventure, we can supply you with our best advice so that you feel as prepared as possible zipping around the Emerald Isle!
